IT and networking suppliers in the UAE

Before you request quotes

Approved and authorised equipment

Wi-Fi access points and other wireless equipment sold in the UAE must carry TDRA type approval. Ask suppliers to confirm it, and to supply through the manufacturer's authorised UAE channel, so the warranty is honoured here.

Making quotes comparable

Ask every supplier to price hardware, software licences, configuration and support as separate lines, with the licence term stated. Say whether you accept equivalent models; if you do, ask for the exact model on every line, so you are not comparing one processor or switch with a weaker one.

Cabling needs a survey

Structured cabling is priced from the number of points, the routes and the floor area. Ask suppliers whether they will survey the site before pricing, and whether the quote includes testing and certification of every point.

Lead times and price validity

Common laptops and switches are often in stock; servers and configured equipment can take weeks. Prices follow the exchange rate and the manufacturer's price list, so ask how long each quote holds and for the lead time per item.
